For 20 years the the St. Albert Stop Abuse in Families (SAIF) Society has provided free services to clients that are experiencing abuse and its devastating effects to the family unit. We also offer support groups, and provide educational prevention programs to shcools and youth groups in our community.

Ethel Cuts IODE
IODE is a Canadian women's organization founded in 1900. The mission of IODE is to improve the quality of life for children, youth and those in need, through educational, social service and citizenship programs. Our chapter (Ethel Cuts Chapter, IODE), St. Albert supports Parents Place; Sidekicks Mentoring Program; St. Albert Food Bank; Youville Home; Star Literacy Society; Adult Day Program, Sturgeon Hospital; Mewburn Veteran's Centre; Blankets for Canada; Youth Emergency Society and the Women's Emergency Accommodation Centre.

St. Albert Victim Services is a police based organization made up in part of trained volunteers who work in conjunction with RCMP Officers. These volunteers are called victim advocates who are accredited and skilled in dealing with matters of victimization. Under the guidance and direction of the police, we provide emotional support, court support, information and referral services to help the victim deal with the impact of a traumatic experience.

Society for Assisted Cooperative Recovery from Eating Disorders

SACRED is an Edmonton-based non-profit charitable organization whose mission is to offer hope and healing to those affected by eating disorders through a program based on the 12-step addictions model of recovery. SACRED operates an Eating Disorder Recovery Day Program, as well as Drop in and Meal Support Programs. SACRED is working hard to address the need for treatment options for the estimated 42,000 Albertans suffering from an eating disorder.

Star of the North is the best kept secret in St. Albert. We are a centrally located retreat and conference facility with the mission of providing hospitality in a Christian environment. In our centre are 2 large conference rooms with 3 small boardrooms. We have a total of 61 bedrooms, 5 suites with private washrooms, the rest of the rooms use shared washrooms. The St. Albert Food Bank has been providing nutritional support to those in need for 24 years and supports clients in St. Albert and surrounding areas who have been referred to the Food Bank by professionals in the community. Hours of operation are Monday, Wednesday and Friday 9:00am - 3:00pm

WYCP - Wilderness Youth Challenge Program

WYCP is a non treatment Relapse Prevention initiative targeting at risk youth facing a change in their recovery plans, a period of time when a relapse into at risk behavior is very common. Through a ten day country program icorporating a four day solo camping experience at risk youth are encouraged to focus in body management and gain basic skills to improve their ongoing efforts.
